A matching gift is when a person donates to a nonprofit organization and their employer matches their donation (or doubles or triples it) to the same nonprofit.

Employers offer a matching gift program to their employees to develop a culture of stewardship and to themselves donate to organizations that are important to their employees.

Because The Animal Protectorates is a qualified nonprofit under the Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(3), your donation is tax-deductible to the full extent provided by law and your employers may also be able to deduct their portion of the matched gift.
